Boomtown is a fresh new band based out of Fargo, ND comprised of four seasoned road dogs who decided to plant roots in the "North Country". Boomtown got its start when Richard Freeman (Vocals/Bass) and Romyn Hanks (Vocals/Lead Guitar), both former members of the local band "Sub Zero", decided the region was in dire need of a kick ass country/variety group. So the race was on to find the right guys for the job. Looking to have that authentic Nashville sound, the guys enlisted the help of industry veteran Rick Schroeder of "High Noon" and "Roosters" fame to add his stunning steel guitar licks to the mix, along with his remarkable electric guitar and vocals. Providing that ever important back beat and vocals is Glenn Olson, formally of " Beat's Workin'" and "The Reactors", on the drums. With over a year of gigging behind them, the band is certainly making waves across the region. With a schedule that is constantly expanding, a song list that is ever changing, and talent that is unmatchable in the Midwest, look for Boomtown to rock your socks off in 2008!
